The doctors and staff at Alexandria Animal Hospital love being a part of our community.  Throughout the year we participate in a number of service activities.  This holiday season we invite you to join us in a few opportunities to give back to those who need assistance.  We want to first thank everyone who participated in donating to our first annual "Socktober" event.  This October we asked our clients to bring in new socks and undergarments to deliver to the Christian Center in Anderson.  The inaugural event was a huge success, and our generous friends provided a total of 242 pairs of socks, underwear, and t-shirts.  Alexandria Animal Hospital promised to match those donations and below is a picture of our shopping trip to do just that.  These items were delivered recently and will be such a blessing to those experiencing homelessness in our community.

During the month of November we are collecting canned or nonperishable food items for the Christian center.  We have already had many folks participate.  If you would like to provide some items, we will be collecting these until the end of the month at which time they will be delivered for use at the Community Dining Room.

To round out the year, December will bring our annual pet food drive.  We don't want to forget our 4 legged friends in need.  Last year was the largest collection yet!  Help us make this year just as great or greater a success.  We will be collecting pet food during the entire month of December to provide to our local shelters.  Alexandria Animal Hospital will match pound for pound those donations from our clients and community.
